Currently I’m working o a Windows 7 laptop and this is the version of my browsers:
- Firefox 19.0
- Internet Explorer 9.0.8112.16421IC
- Chrome 25.0.1364.97 m
The scenario I’m testing is that TeamMentor’s articles should be displayed in a new Window once you double-Click on the articles table row:
This is how it looks like in the thee browsers mentioned above:
In Internet Explorer it Opens a new Window:
In Firefox, it opens the article in a new tab
In Chrome, It opens a new Tab like Firefox does:
Is it all about configuration?
What it might impact is the user experience in some way, because it depends on how they would like to see it.
Does it impact the testing?
I hope it does not!. Currently there is a way in WebDriver to switch to the active window.I’ve done some test so far and this approach seems to be working on a new Tab, I will write some test and I will see if it works as expected.
